Mash Up

Desperation and luxury are moral enemies. Fear and power do not peacefully coexist. We will meet not just with our friends, but with our enemies. We should never negotiate out of fear but we should never fear to negotiate to strike for the achievement and the freedom. Thing Prada the woman is unafraid of is a good fight. And more often than not, she wins. Prada will choose a colour (such as turquoise) that she despises, because of the rush it gives her when she can make something beautiful with it. Whereas common sense says a designer should design what she likes. The reason is that Personal freedom and freedom of expression are absolutely essential to power. Madonna's defiance, her shamelessly violent sexuality, her basic honesty of spirit, as well as her ambition “To rule the world’, continued to convert everyone to her cause of personal freedom while at the same time expressing a more generous desire.

Final Models

Alfred Nobel

This is the exterior space for Alfred Nobel. As he is the inventor of dynamics, i designed his space in a way to show the explosive strong structure where some parts are exploded from the main body. I put the deer image on the side wall of the building to show the impacts that dynamic causes on the livings.

I use the black color for the body of the building to show the negativity provided by the dynamics as Alfred himself felt regret for his invention.

Ramp from meeting space to Alfred Nobel's exterior space

The ramp for the Alfred is designed to show explosive figure but not as strong as the main building. The ramp is built with two layers of rectangle but the upper layer has been taken out from the first layer.

The wall is made up of glass to show the exterior structure along the ramp.

The meeting point
The meeting point is designed based on the ideas from both Alfred and Jacques. The shape of the meeting space is just rectangular. It is separated in half. Alfred said in his quote that the identifying the difference and similarity are the basis of all human knowledge. And in this space, i used the simple shape showing similar roof top and bottom in structure. Obviously, i used the color "blue" as Jacques is concerned with seas and oceans.

I used the lightest texture for the part of the ramps which are connected to the meeting space. And i used the darkest texture for the ground of the meeting space to show the contrast between ramp and meeting area.

The ramp from meeting space to Jacques-Yves Cousteau's interior space

The interior of the ramp is colored in blue to provide the ocean-like space for the Jacques who is interested in seas and oceans. The wavy and curved structure is used to emphasize the space to look like a underwater space.

Jacques-Yves Cousteau's interior space

Apparently, the wall color is blue to create more like a underwater space for the Jacques. The interior contents are lifted off the ground to provide the feeling of floating. Moreover, Jacques talked about the gravity in his quote. So, i designed a space for him where he can feel like there is lack of gravity where things are floating and as if he is underwater.

I used the medium texture for some interior parts to match with the other colors.

I was confused and i couldn't figure out how to build the model behind the wall because every time i built something, it didn't appear. So, i built the interior space in another template. However, that space should be behind the wall of the first template. I am sorry that i did the two spaces separately. But i hope it doesn't matter.

Alfred Nobel

As Alfred invented the dynamics, i designed the model in a way to show the sense of explosions in which some parts of the model are exploded from the main body.

Jacques-Yves Cousteau

Jacques mentioned about the gravity in his quote. Therefore, the model is designed to in a way where some parts are attached to each other when they are connected. But there's also some part which is freely released as it is not connected to any other parts.
